Not much to do at the top apart from seeing the city, but the view is incredible. We went at night during a not so cloudy evening and it was amazing. There is also an outside part where you can see everything without a window in front of you.
Was here for the Sky Garden. A good place to view the Osaka city on top. There are few places you can view the city from top, this is one of the best, Even better if come in late afternoon, view the city in the day time, sunset time and also night time all in once. If you have an Amazing Pass, it's free entrance, but it's only applicable before 6PM. ps:
A very unique & beautiful building that towers over Osaka. The view from the top was breathtaking - you could see the whole city & beyond. The entire construction of the building was very unique & I'm glad they had the history of it's construction on one of the observation decks. It was a little bit expensive to the top - but a very nice experience. My photos aren't from the top of the tower, but it was still so nice!
The Umeda Sky Building was pretty cool to visit. Starting off at the bottom there is a nice garden to visit. After you can make your way up to the top where there are windows in every direction to see all parts of the city with some diagrams talking about the history of the building
Good place for a night view of the city, specially close to Umeda but be careful with wind force.Gardens are located on 1st floor and no ticket was needed to visited them. There are restaurants on building basement but some can not have any available seat as they are small (my opinion).
If you have pass, I would recommend this place. You can see beautiful when night. But, very cold. You should wear warm clothes.
Very unique architecture and observatory. The elevator ride and escalator to the top alone are pretty worth it. The view at the top at night is jaw dropping though I'm certain it's very neat way to spend the evening no matter the time of day. A single adult ticket is 1500 JPY.
I had missed the Umeda Sky Building last year when I visited Osaka due to the time constraint. This year makes time to visit the place and I find is worth it. The view is great although is raining during my visit. You may see the scenery from different sides (e.g. north, south, east, and west).
Amazing view. Open roof, so check the weather before you come here. There is also a small special area for couples where you can put love locks as a sign of your eternal promises
Aw breathtaking! Sincerely. My-my! What a perfect timing. Big ball of glowing, simultaneously slowly drifting away sun, and me standing and allowing my mind to wonder far and beyond. Utterly sensational view which I am still holding close to my travelling heart. What a pleasure of yours and mine. A pair of skyscrapers connected in midair, Umeda Sky Building built in an unusual architectural form is said to be seldom encountered anywhere in the world. It has an open roof and 360-degree design, affording panoramic views of the city, and is known as a romantic and most scenic sunset viewing spot. Absolutely worthy.
I was there on clear day so the views we fantastic.. this is an impressive building with really good facilities in and around it.. definitely worth a visit
One of tourist spot covered by Osaka Amazing Pass. Make sure to entrance the building before 6 pm to get the free entrance with the pass. There is tourist information center to help you get up to the sky building. There is a nice cafe with an awesome view of Osaka city. Better to go there around sunset to enjoy the city night view. Definitely recommended
Fun place. The between building escalators are a unique experience. In the upper deck they had a food vendor with waffles, many choices of imported beers, large hot dogs, and ice cream. Strangely the tap Japanese beer was priced equally to the very large selection of imported bottled beers. It's rare that I prefer to have a bottled beer over a draft beer but given the amazing variety for all the same price the bottle is worth it.
It was great place to see sunset and night skyline of Osaka. Pricing was great. I was lucky to go there without line at all. When I was on my way out, there was a long line for entry. Timing is important if you don't like long waiting lines.
Free access with Osaka amazing two-day pass. The best time to visit is around 5:30pm in winter as you can enjoy sunset and nighttime cityscape together. The skywalk is pretty cool ! Worth a visit.
Christmas Market. It was magical. I highly recommend it to visit it during this Holiday season. You'll have a wonderful time. But only from 17:00 ~ 22:00
After a bit of difficulty in finding the entrance, which is not marked very well, I purchased my ticket for Umeda Sky Building. Price for admission was reasonable by Japanese standards. I cannot remember the exact price. If you really want to know, look at their website for more information. You walk around a very white corridor to a set of lifts, which take you up almost to the top. Then you exit out and take a very unique escalator which connects two seperate parts of the building, external to the structure itself. You'll see.At the top is the fantastic view of the city with shops, cafes and facilities. Overall a great place to visit.
Even if you don't visit the observation deck, come here to look at the unique architecture.
Great view! Use OAP, free to enter, you can feel the breeze wind and also the bird eye view.Recommend go after 4PM local time.
The iconic skyscraper in Osaka. Due to the typoon, it was not fully opened to public. But it is still worth visiting. It has been a year since I visited here, but I still remember this place vividly. I love the building and surroundings.
Very nice. My husband and I went at night after a long day of exploring Osaka. Very worth it especially because we could sit down to rest. Drink a coffee together and talk for a bit. Take a few photos and read about the building on it's little museum. The photos do not do the view justice. It was absolutely beautiful
Very nice view of the city. Building is easily accessible from Osaka station. The roof is open is must experience! You'll get a clear skyline view for your pictures.
Beautiful building. The Floating Garden is breath taking, it’s like a scene from Avatar (the blue lights in the jungle). The basement had a variety of restaurants which was fun to go around and pick!
Staff was helpful is assisting us, as we had our grandma on wheelchair. They brought us to an alternate elevator, as the main entrance only has escalator. The view was great! What else can I say. Although the cafe area was a little warm, maybe due to the crowd, but overall, awesome! Each ticket cost us 1500 yen.
Definitely go see the upper floors of this building. A great tourist attraction. They have a cafe, and bar up there with stunning views of Osaka. They are open at night as well, for that full cyberpunk experience. The building itself is endlessly fascinating with its very open/ square design. Definitely worth the trip.
Umeda Sky Building is a signature architecture for it’s beautiful city view from the observatory desk in Shin Umeda City. The route from the top level to the observatory desk was kind of confusing but the staff was friendly and helpful. The escalators covered with transparent windows were famous but super scary. There is a Japanese traditional garden located on lower level which is surprisingly nice to me.
Observatory deck all the way up on 39th floor. Entrance was quite difficult to find though. If you're walking from the metro station, it'd be on the first building of the twin tower. Go up to level 3 to where it says sky garden, expect a long queue. After a few minute wait you take an elevator to the top where you just go up to the entrance to scan your amazing pass. Entry is free with the pass before 6pm.
Beautiful scenery, we went at night and the view was really nice
The view is nice, but didn’t really find anything of “must see” interest while in the viewing platform. The view from the bottom of the building *up* is worth it though. And definitely explore the miniature forest and waterfall if you’re here. Not worth a trip on its own, but worth an hour or so if you’ve got time around Osaka Station.
A few blocks from Osaka station and away from the Umeda shops and malls. Went during a weekday and not much of a crowd. Plenty of space to view out from the observatory or even from the viewing platform on top of the roof.
A must go place if you are in Osaka. The view on top is magnificent. I went here at noon, and wondering how more beautiful it would be at night. Better go here using osaka amazing pass, the ticket will be free. Without the pass, you have to pay 1500 yen.
A beautiful building and I think from the observation Deck you would have a panoramic view of Osaka. But when we went there it was raining all the day so we didn't went on the top. We looked from the windows and walked through the souvenir shop.
The best views in the city, hands down. Do it in the daylight or at night, both give amazing views of Osaka on all sides. Great for photos. A bit pricey just for a view, but it's SUCH a view. I highly recommend it.
It is one of the most modern and also most impressive modern building in Osaka, maybe even anywhere in Japan. It is certainly worth a look when you are in the vicinity.
So you will mostly go to the top floor. The entry was part of our two day city tour pass which we bought. Quite interesting part. The roof is nice and pretty nice views. Their is a cafe and it is very difficult to find place to sit. Enjoy your time here.
Whoa. Worth a visit. Amazing! Took my breath away in the elevator with glass walls! And with the Osaka Amazing Pass you can also visit the art exhibition.
An unique observatory deck, where it is open area/out door, which means is inaccessible during rain/thunderstorms. You could see the Osaka skyline from the deck without the usual partition (glass/window pane). You can enjoy the windy weather above (we visited during fall/autumn). Oh and the see through lift along the way could be a bit terrifying.
Simple directions to the observatory and great views of the surrounding area. The cafe located at the top has a nice selection of drinks and food but damn the ice cream is great there, just don't take it outside on the deck :P
It`s definitely my most favourite building in Osaka. Such an interesting architecture. I love it. I didn`t go up to the last floor with the 360 degrees view over the city. I just went to the floor underneath it, but it was also worth it and offered a fantastic view over Osaka too. I especially loved the escalator in the tunnel.
I got this free using the Osaka Amazing pass. The architecture of this is amazing! You get a 360 view of Osaka. There's also a restaurant and a cafe available on the premises. When I went it wasn't crowded.
Amazing place to take unique photos 📷IG - csarstudiosphotography
No garden (winter time?) but cool views of Osaka. Good beer selection at the counter on floor below the outdoor area. NB: if you spend a minimum at restaurants in the basement of the building, you will get a voucher to go to the top (good value as we easily spent the minimum for dinner after spending the 1500 yen each to go up).
A very fine building that gives panoramic views over Osaka. It is free to go nearly to the top which is reached by an escalator that is strung between the twin sections and housed in a glass tube.
good to see osaka night view from top roof
Amazing high rise building with a 360 walkway at the very top. Beautiful scenery of Osaka regardless of time of day. Every staff member were also very welcoming and friendly.
Wow. What an amazing facility. Incredible views and impressive future tech. Be sure and check out the architecture exhibit to watch how they constructed the whole thing. Pretty amazing.
Very interesting architecture! Pro tip: you can go nearly to the top FOR FREE! You can see just about everything you would be able to see from the top but that costs ¥1500. Not worth it in my opinion. Also had a fun gift shop and a cute window for a photo op. Restroom is off to the left if you need one. Another tip: get there about half hour before sunset. We got here at this time by accident but the sky was just turning golden AND we beat the crowds 🙌🏼
It’s an interesting building. The view of the city is interesting but somewhat blocked on the roof, it’s better downstairs by the cafe.
Free with the Osaka Amazing Pass before 6 PM which is good. Offers you a view of the skyline of Osaka, it’s not too spectacular but worth it if you are nearby. It’s a 10 minute walk from Osaka JR Station or 15 from Umeda Station. There are ton of shops and dinning options around here. It’s an icon of the bubble economy of japan in early 1990s.
Beautiful high skyscraper. Going to the top with the inwards very long escalators is fun. They will charge you an extreme amount to visit the sky deck. The restaurants situated at the inner ring are fancy but you will pay for the height, view, food and brand. The shopping mall is big and has many different shops. It's worth visiting this skyscraper rather than Osaka Tower.
